Pour célébrer les 160 années de relations diplomatiques franco-japonaises, Sato Creative organise une exposition intitulée « A lucky cat art exhibition » chez Sid Lee Galerie. L’occasion pour moi, de réinterpréter une figure iconique de la culture nipponne : le maneki-neko.

I was one of 50 artists from Japan and France who have customized traditional Japanese “lucky cat” statues for this large group exhibition. Maneki-neko the “lucky cat,” with one of its paws raised high, is a common sight in many businesses throughout Japan, believed to bring good luck and fortune.
